ATP Testing

Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) testing equipment is widely used across various industries, including dental, food service, healthcare, and hospitality, to assess cleanliness and contamination levels. Measured in relative light units (RLU), ATP levels serve as a key indicator for health and safety compliance. Health inspectors rely on ATP Hygiene Sanitation Monitoring systems to evaluate surface hygiene and ensure proper sanitation standards are met.

In a study at a nursing home, surfaces that had been cleaned with commonly used disinfectants were retested after being cleaned with Vera. The sanitising power of Vera displayed exceptionally high hygiene results, with significantly lower ATP readings and RLU readings below 10, qualifying as surgically compliant.

Vera cleans and deodorises at the source

Most cleaning products are anionic (negatively charged), attacking the bacteria and leaving dead bacteria as a source for new bacteria to feed on. Not only does this allow pathogens to multiply after cleaning, it also means potentially using more product, scrubbing, and cleaning time in the future.

Soiling, including dirt, grease, oils and fats are not emulsified with Vera. Rather, a nonionic surfactant separates and lifts the soiling for easy removal by simply wiping and rinsing.

Vera's blend of cross-linked surfactants disrupts the surface tension, lifting off the surface biofilm and allowing the solution to penetrate deeper into the surface. In this way Vera can dissolve the cell walls of bacteria, neutralising the bonding and releasing the soiling.

At the same time, the formula creates a paramagnetic film that repels and prevents re-infestation of new contaminants by eliminating pathogen food sources. Bacteria live relatively short lives, ranging from minutes to hours. The superior cleaning action of Vera ensures the removal of bacteria, soiling, and contaminants. In the absence of a food source the bacteria will die and no longer become a host for pathogens/viruses.

Many contain preservatives and fragrances to give a false sense of 'clean'. Be not deceived! Enzymes and other organic cleaning products with fragrances often do not address odours but instead make changes to the substances that cause the odours. These changes may give rise to toxic substances and can cause adverse medical reactions.

Vera works on a molecular level to starve odour creating enzymes and bacteria. Initial application of Vera removes existing biofilm build-up (after leaving for 5-30 seconds), and thereafter less solution with less frequent maintenance is needed to keep the surfaces clean, protected, deodorised and sanitised.
