Vera is one plant-based concentrate that replaces the sprays under your sink. A carer developed it for homes where strong smells and harsh chemicals cause problems.

Why people switch to Vera

  1. Developed by a carer

Mariana Cuza has cared for her husband, who has MS, for more than 20 years. She developed Vera after the cleaners they had been given didn’t work well enough.

  2. Gentle on sensitive people

No fragrance, alcohol or dyes, which are common triggers for asthma, allergies and sensitive skin. No fumes left in the air.

  3. One bottle instead of a cupboard full

Benches, bathrooms, floors, glass and hands. There’s nothing to mix, so no risk of two products reacting.

  4. Colour-coded, like hospitals

Each room has its own bottle and cloth, similar to how hospitals, restaurants, and aged care homes stop germs spreading. The toilet cloth never ends up on the kitchen bench.

  5. Bottles you keep for years

Refill them with concentrate instead of buying new sprays. A little goes a long way. How refilling works

Why no fragrance and no alcohol

Both are in most cleaners and sanitisers, and both can be hard on people who are unwell or sensitive.

No added fragrance

  • Scented cleaners can bother people with asthma, breathing conditions or autism, CPAP users, and pets.
  • Scent often just covers a smell. Vera removes odours at the source instead.
  • Nothing lingers in the air after you finish cleaning.

No alcohol

  • Alcohol sanitisers can sting and dry out hands. Vera is gentle and doesn’t leave a sticky feel.
  • It’s non-flammable, so it’s safer in the car or a bag, and near cooking, smoking areas, wheelchairs and medical equipment.
  • It suits homes and services that need to keep alcohol away, such as recovery programs.

Common questions

Vera is made to be gentle. It has no alcohol, fragrance or dyes, which are the most common causes of skin and breathing reactions. It’s also non-corrosive, non-flammable and leaves no fumes.

Many of our customers have asthma, allergies or sensitive skin. As with any cleaning product, keep it out of reach of children and follow the label.

Yes. Vera sanitises as it cleans and kills 99.99% of germs. That makes it good for bathrooms, kitchens and anything lots of hands touch, like door handles, remotes and wheelchair controls.

Vera is TGA compliant and independently tested. See what was tested.

Yes. As it dries, Vera leaves a protective layer on the surface that helps stop dust and germs settling again, so surfaces stay cleaner for longer.

The layer wears off over time, so regular cleaning keeps it working.

For most homes, yes. Vera can replace your kitchen spray, bathroom cleaner, floor cleaner, glass cleaner, air freshener and disinfectant. One refill lasts months and if in bulk- can last years.

For thick soap scum or limescale, you may need to remove it first with vinegar and rinse well. Then use Vera to stop it building up again.

No. Mixing cleaning products can give off harmful fumes, and Vera works on its own. If a surface has another product on it, rinse that off first.

We also don’t recommend adding essential oils. Vera is fragrance-free on purpose, because fragrance is a common trigger for asthma and sensitive skin.
