What’s not in it

Fragrance, alcohol and dyes are some of the most common causes of skin and breathing reactions. Vera has none of them.

No fragrance

Fragrance masks smells and can contain toxic VOCs. Vera is fragrance-free.

No alcohol

Gentle enough for hands, with no strong fumes.

No artificial dyes

Nothing is added just for colour.

No harsh chemicals

Non-corrosive, and made to be used around food prep areas, people and pets.

Before and after testing

An ATP test shows how much organic matter, like bacteria and food residue, is left on a surface. A lower number means the surface is cleaner.

Health inspectors, dentists, and food, healthcare and hospitality businesses use ATP testers to check surfaces. Results are measured in relative light units (RLU).

In a nursing home, surfaces that had already been cleaned with common disinfectants were tested, cleaned with Vera, then tested again. Every reading after Vera was under 10 RLU.

ATP readings before and after cleaning with Vera. Zimmer frame 816 then 4 RLU, wheelchair 957 then 5, lounge chair 1015 then 4, Oxford hoist 576 then 4, door handle 682 then 3.

How Vera cleans

Why surfaces stay cleaner for longer.

  • Cleans and sanitises in one step

Vera kills 99.99% of germs, and lifts dirt and grease so they wipe away easily.

  • Keeps working after you clean

As it dries it leaves a protective layer that helps stop dust and germs settling again, so surfaces stay cleaner for longer.

  • Less cleaning over time

Built-up grime comes off over the first few cleans. After that you’ll use less product and won’t need to clean as often.

  • A bottle and cloth for each area

The Clean Kit is BICSc compliant (British Institute of Cleaning Science). Each area has its own colour, so bathroom germs stay out of the kitchen.

Common questions

Vera is made to be gentle. It has no alcohol, fragrance or dyes, which are the most common causes of skin and breathing reactions. It’s also non-corrosive, non-flammable and leaves no fumes.

Many of our customers have asthma, allergies or sensitive skin. As with any cleaning product, keep it out of reach of children and follow the label.

Yes. Vera sanitises as it cleans and kills 99.99% of germs. That makes it good for bathrooms, kitchens and anything lots of hands touch, like door handles, remotes and wheelchair controls.

No. Mixing cleaning products can give off harmful fumes, and Vera works on its own. If a surface has another product on it, rinse that off first.

We also don’t recommend adding essential oils. Vera is fragrance-free on purpose, because fragrance is a common trigger for asthma and sensitive skin.
